Lac Gagnon Property Owners' Association
Founded in 1968, the APLG is one of the oldest lake associations in Quebec, with about 350 members on Lac Gagnon. Every summer it trains some thirty volunteer 'sentinels' who patrol the lake watching for Eurasian watermilfoil.

Les Maraudeurs Snowmobile Club
This snowmobile club for the Duhamel area has its clubhouse on rue du Parc. The trails run mostly through the forest, far from towns, and this area usually receives more snow than the south of the region.

Club Skira
This group of volunteers opens and maintains more than 40 km of backcountry ski and snowshoe trails around the Gagnon entrance of the Papineau-Labelle reserve, 16 km north of the village. The annual membership fee was $15 per person, payable at the Gagnon entrance.
