Legal notice
Here is what you should know about La Petite Nation, explained in plain language. This page is not legal advice.
Who publishes the site
La Petite Nation (lapetitenation.ca) is published by Holistic Hybrid Inc., in Montpellier, Québec. The site was built by Petite Nation Numérique. Contact: info@lapetitenation.ca.
An independent site
La Petite Nation is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for the MRC de Papineau, any of its municipalities, the Gouvernement du Québec, Tourisme Outaouais or Tourisme Petite-Nation Outaouais, or any organization or business listed on the site. Town names and crests are used only to identify the towns.
Where the information comes from
The information comes from public sources: the official sites of the towns and the MRC, government open data (such as Données Québec), tourism organizations, organizers’ own pages, OpenStreetMap and others. Every listing and event shows its sources and the date they were checked. The full list is on the Sources page.
No guarantee
Information changes and may contain errors. Always confirm with the official source before relying on it, especially for:
- road conditions: in an emergency, call 911. For the roads, Québec 511 (dial 511) takes precedence;
- garbage and recycling pickup: your town’s own calendar takes precedence;
- weather: official warnings are Environment Canada’s;
- parking and snow-removal rules: your town’s bylaws apply;
- opening hours: please call before you go.
Liability
We do our best to keep everything accurate, but we cannot guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, Holistic Hybrid Inc. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the information on this site, or for the content of the sites it links to.
An open, community project
La Petite Nation is built by Petite Nation Numérique as an open project. Residents, businesses, organizations and towns: your additions and corrections are welcome, to make it a true community resource. Add a listing or an event, or write to info@lapetitenation.ca.
How the content is written
Magazine stories and listing descriptions are written by the La Petite Nation team, with the help of AI writing tools, from the public sources cited, then checked against those sources. The text is written fresh, not copied from the sources, and we do not invent facts.
Photos
- Landscape and town photos come from Wikimedia Commons, under their Creative Commons licences. The author and licence are shown on each photo and on the Photo credits page.
- Some business photos come from the business’s own website or public pages. They are credited to the business, with a link to the source.
- Some illustrations are AI-generated and are labelled as such.
- If you hold the rights to a photo and would like it removed or the credit corrected, please write to info@lapetitenation.ca. We act quickly.
