Who we are
La Petite Nation Classifieds is a free service of La Petite Nation (lapetitenation.ca), published by Holistic Hybrid Inc., a Québec company. "We" means Holistic Hybrid Inc. and "you" means the person using the service.
The service
We provide a place to post and browse classified ads and obituaries for La Petite-Nation and the MRC de Papineau. The service is free during the pilot. We sell nothing, we are not a party to exchanges between users and we handle no payments between them.
Your account
- The service is for people 18 and older.
- One account per person. You sign in with a code sent to your email; keep your mailbox to yourself.
- You are responsible for what is posted with your account.
- Businesses posting to sell their goods or services identify themselves as such in the ad (Consumer Protection Act).
Your ads
- Post only what is true, legal and yours (or that you have the right to offer).
- Follow the posting rules, including the ban on discrimination in rentals and jobs (Québec Charter of human rights and freedoms).
- An ad stays online 60 days and renews in one click. Up to 10 ads online at once per account (no limit for Community).
- You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show your ad and photos on lapetitenation.ca while it is published. You keep ownership of your text and photos.
- Business ads must include French text (Charter of the French language).
Moderation and removal
Some categories are read before publication (jobs, rentals, obituaries, first ads). Any ad can be reported. We promptly remove what is illegal or against the rules once we know about it, and we keep a record of our decisions. If a decision affects you, we tell you why and a person can review it on request. We may suspend accounts for serious or repeated breaches.
Messages
Messages go through the site: your email isn't shown. Don't send sensitive information. Messages that look like a known scam are flagged to the recipient. Conversations are erased 12 months after the last message.
Liability
Ads are written by their authors; we don't guarantee items, services or people. Transactions happen directly between users, at their own risk. As a host, our liability is as set out in Québec's Act to establish a legal framework for information technology (s. 22). Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law.

Changes
If we change these terms, we post the new version here with its date and, for a significant change, email registered users at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada. The French version prevails.
